Hole

‘I fell back into the hole. I was tired, walking was like standing. I managed to raise my eyes and say something to someone. You lifted me out and pulled me along but your drift turned into another hole and so on. Too dark one minute too bright the next. I looked around not knowing what was the hole and what wasn’t. I fell back into the hole.’
