The great change

They won’t catch me napping when it happens, I tell X, when the great change comes. No, they’ll walk in and see me with my eyes wide open, with a light in my eyes they’ve never seen and which they won’t understand. They’ll be confused, they who think I’ve been slacking off all this time, I say. I’ll look right through them just as I’ll have seen right through myself, I’ll be smiling, and then they’ll see the great change, they’ll see the light!
